Samuel Alito

The Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, Americans’ highest federal court, was born in 1950.

A nominee of former US President George W. Bush, Alito who has served on the court since January 31, 2006, grew up in Hamilton Township, New Jersey and went to Princeton University and Yale Law School before pursuing his now successful career in law.

William E. “Bill” Baroni, Jr.

A law professor and a former state senator and assembly member, Baroni was born 1971.

Chris Christie, the 55th Governor of New Jersey, appointed Baroni the Deputy Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in 2010. The inquiry into the Fort Lee lane closure controversy, however, forced him to resign on December 12, 2013.

On November 4, 2016, the judge convicted once high-flying lawyer on seven counts of conspiracy, wire fraud, and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment and 500 hours of community service on March 29, 2017.

Jayson DiManche

DiManche, who was born on September 22, 1990, attended Hamilton West High School in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey.

The then-budding American footballer’s exploits caught the eyes of talent scouts early, which is why they drafted him into the first-team of the Trenton area and Trenton Times all-county, and second-team Asbury Park Press all-state during his senior season in high school.

His talent earned him the Hamilton West High School defensive MVP and Hardest Hitter awards.

While still in school, the selectors nominated him to the Second-team all-area and all-county teams in 2006. He had a total of 253 tackles and 30 sacks in three prep seasons while in high school.

As an American football linebacker, he joined the Cincinnati Bengals on April 27, 2013, played for them until 2015 when he left, rejoined them on January 5, 2016, before leaving again on August 29, 2016.

Janice Harsanyi

Harsanyi, who was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on July 15, 1929, was a soprano singer and college professor. She spent her early life in the Hamilton Square section of Hamilton Township, Mercer County, New Jersey.

Harsanyi married Nicholas Harsanyi, a violist who founded the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra (TSO). Nicholas Harsanyi died in 1987 and (Janice) Harsanyi, who was known as “first lady” of the TSO, passed away on March 22, 2007, in Tallahassee, Florida.

Dahntay Lavall Jones

Jones, who was born December 27, 1980, is a professional basketball player turning up for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Cavaliers are squaring it out with Golden State Warriors in the2017 NBA Finals as we were going to press.

Jones grew up in Hamilton Square, New Jersey, and starred at Steinert High School in Hamilton Township, Mercer County, from 1995 to 1998. He earned a McDonald’s All-America honorable mention as a senior after averaging 24 points and nine rebounds per game at Steinert. The rest, as they say, is history as his career took off.
