Things to see in Ewing NJ
The William Greene Farmhouse was the residence of Judge William Greene, that was born in the 1600s in England and departed in 1722 in Hunterdon, NJ the property is on the U.S. Register of Historic Places and the NJ Register of Historic Places.
Delaware & Raritan Canal – The canal runs along the east bank of the Delaware River in west Ewing.
Washington Victory Trail – Documents the path selected by Washington’s army during the American Revolution. That led to a triumphant surprise attack on the troops occupying Trenton, NJ. The Victory Trail starts in the nearby Washington Crossing State Park and enters Ewing Township near Jacobs Creek Road and proceeds along Bear Tavern Road.
The Ewing Presbyterian Church is a more than 200-year-old historic building set within the American Revolution era Ewing Church Cemetery. The current church has been under threat of demolition following several engineering studies found that the roof supports are buckling and are beyond the point of cost-effective repair. Various conservation associations claim that the structural issues are why easier to resolve than these studies claim. Multiple organizations have attempted to raise money to ensure the stability of the original structure.
Our Lady of Good Counsel Church is Roman Catholic church constructed at the beginning of the 1960s to meet the expanding needs of the rapidly expanding township. Its architecture is similar to Princeton’s Saint Paul’s Church. The Church is a major religious center for the Christian community in the West Trenton section of Ewing.
Louis Kahn’s Trenton Bath House is an early work of the famous mid-twentieth hundred architect, created for the Trenton Jewish Community Center.
