The lake was built in purpose of preventing big floods in Trenton, the capital of the state.
A unique location in Hamilton is The Grounds for Sculpture. It is a 42-acre park which contains more than 200 sculptures, fountains and other water features, gardens, etc. The park was built with the purpose of blending art with nature and boost appreciation of sculpture.
Hamilton also houses famous Sayen Park Botanical Garden. The park is an ultimate family activity point of interest, and it is open from dusk till dawn and free of charge. The botanical garden was originally private home and land of Fredrick Sayen. It is built in Victorian and Arts and Craft style.
