Visions and Pathways – Interview
10/05/2017
We have been talking to Carlotta Spence who is a Director of Residential Services at Visions and Pathways. She works with homeless youth (ages of 13 -21 yo). For more information about an organization, read the following interview.
Q: What is your takeaway from serving in your position?
A: If a neglected, abused or homeless youth has one person in their lives that believe in them, support them and show love to them they can become successful in life.
Q: What was the hardest/toughest moments you had to deal with?
A: People judge you by appearance or by your life situation without getting to know you. I would advise people to always meet people where they are in life and give a helping hand when needed. It is better to give than to receive.
Q: What separates you from the rest?
A: I am compassionate and loving. I work hard to not judge others but to focus on giving without seeking anything in return.
Q: Do you have any upcoming events for this year?
A: “Run And Walk for our Youth Future”, upcoming 5-mile run and 2-mile walk on 10/28/17 at Duke Island Park/Bridgewater, NJ
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
A: Always focus on giving to others in need… and your life will be full.
